

about me as an artist
I have tried, failed and retried to a career as a professional artist during several stages of my life and took the process very personal each time.
Healing the Inner Artist has some subtle differences to Healing through Art— and both are a big part of my own journey.
Most artist’s ego structures are built around the need to be seen through one’s work, to be understood, and ultimately to be recognized and financially supported by society at large- when this does not happens it hurts. I know this very well.
When we meet in Art as Meditation workshops all this reverses. As a facilitator everything becomes about seeing, understanding and recognizing the other and giving love and attention to their art and expression. There is something very precious to me about this reversal of roles and it's one of the reasons the workshops are now my primary and most beloved form of being creative.
But ... there is no better way to learn than through teaching, and I am still learning every day how to live my creativity not only as a facilitator, but as an active artist — while working on gradually breaking down the most painful parts of my own artist’s ego structure.
